Property Loss 101
Property Loss is difficult, and nobody should miss out on the money they are entitled to after a property sale.
Unfortunately, the U.S. Government holds over 10 Billion Dollars from foreclosures, tax overpayments, mortgage overpayments, and funds related to property sales or loss. There are a variety of reasons that this money is unclaimed, but a common thread in these cases is that either the individual or their heir is unaware that the funds are available, and unfamiliar with the claims process.
The government is waiting for the proper owner to go through the claims process, but they aren’t actively working to find these individuals. The typical process is for the government to mail a single notice, which may or may not reach the intended individual, and move on.
The government has an incentive not to invest significant resources in finding these individuals, because if the funds go unclaimed, they are claimed by the government through a process knows as “escheatment”.
In other words, if the government fails to find the proper recipient, they keep the money.
Given that agencies are typically operating on tight budgets, it’s no wonder they aren’t pouring more resources into tracking down the rightful recipients of these funds.
At CKC Funds Recovery, we firmly believe that escheatment is a travesty. Private citizens deserve to receive the funds they are owed. Property loss can occur for a variety of reasons, but we believe that everyone deserves the best opportunity to move forward after a property loss, and that starts with the affected parties receiving the money that rightfully belongs to them.
In many cases, the funds owed to recipients are nothing short of life-changing. Some individuals are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars, but whether it’s two thousand or two hundred thousand dollars, nobody should miss out on the funds they are entitled to receive. CKC Funds Recovery is committed to ensuring that nobody misses out on the money that rightfully belongs to them.
“As a result of the times in which we live, my wife and I were somewhat skeptical when we were contacted by CKC regarding the estate of my late father-in-law.
I must say, CKC was professional in every way and helped us recover thousands of dollars that legally belonged to my wife and we would never have known about. They walked us through the process, and were responsive and helpful.
Our experience with CKC was very beneficial for us and we would highly recommend them.”
